This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in relation to our Shopify app, Espresso, which serves as a bulk editor within a Shopify store. We respect your privacy and is committed to protecting any personal information that you provide to us.

1. Information We Collect

Espresso automatically and repeatedly collects information about your shop's products, collections and other content such as pages. blogs, articles etc.

If explicitly enabled by you via the app's Settings (i.e. a separate action from the installation procedure itself), Espresso collects personal information about your customers such as their names and email addresses. In addition - and only if explicitly enabled by you - Espresso collects information related to your customers' orders such as billing and shipping information, but not including any payment details.

2. Use of Information

All information collected by Espresso is used solely for the purpose of providing Espresso's functionality, which is to facilitate bulk editing capabilities within your Shopify store. The information is collected using Shopify's API and stored securely with our database provider.

3. Storage and Security

We use Supabase as our third-party database provider to store your data securely. Other services used to facilitate Espresso's functionality include Fly.io, Cloudflare and Better Stack. We implement robust security measures when dealing with our service providers including multi-factor authentication to protect your data from unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share any data collected by Espresso with third parties, with the exception of the service providers mentioned in the previous section. These service providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and secure, and are not allowed to use it for any other purpose than to provide their services to us.

5. Data Retention

We retain the collected information for as long as Espresso is installed in your Shopify store. When you uninstall Espresso (or close down your Shopify store), we will automaticaly delete all collected information from our servers within 48 hours. If you explicitly disable Espresso's access to selected scopes, such as customers and/or orders via the Settings page, we will delete the corresponding information immediately.

6. Consent

By installing Espresso and accepting this privacy policy, you implicitly consent to the collection and use of information as described in this document.

7. User Rights

You have the right to request access to the information that Espresso has collected about you and your customers. You can also request corrections, updates, or deletion of information at any time by contacting us directly.
